General Scope of Project
This distinctive one-story, 3-bay, 11,400 sf fire station is one of eight in Killeen, and accommodates 7 firefighters. The building was designed to be 60 percent more energy-efficient than the national average fire station. Interesting design features include double-deep drive-through bays, a community room, an exam room, a weight room, a shaded courtyard, an office and a study room. The laundry room has been reinforced per FEMA standards to act as a tornado shelter for staff.

The Bell County Expo Center project involved the construction of a new 100,000 square foot multi-purpose facility designed to host a variety of events ranging from hockey games and concerts to a rodeo or circus. The facility is the largest of its kind in Central Texas and boasts a geodesic dome.
