“Outstanding” Rating for Training Range from Army COE

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commends another job well done for the Emerson team with an “Outstanding” rating for their work on the Qualified Training Range at Fort Hood, Texas which was completed in December 2007.<br /><br />The 1400-meter Qualification Training Range includes sixteen firing lanes, sixteen foxholes, and five vehicle firing pads. Additional features include 324 stationary infantry targets, ten moving infantry targets, twenty stationary armor targets, 383 emplacements, a 256 square foot range operations control tower, a 120 square foot ammunition breakdown building, as well as several gravel gravel access roads and parking lot.
